ABOUT WEST EAST COMMUNITY ACCESS, INC. (WE CAN or WE CAN FOUNDATION)
Established in 1995 to address growing disparities in computerization between various segments of society, WEST EAST COMMUNITY ACCESS, INC., (Also known as WE CAN or WE CAN FOUNDATION), is a community-based response to the challenges of our modern multi-culture, techno-based, global society. WEST EAST COMMUNITY ACCESS, INC., (Also known as WE CAN or WE CAN FOUNDATION), is a not for profit 501(c3) corporation. Since establishment, WE CAN’s programs and projects have encompassed a range of activities, all with the common theme of expanding the application of computer- and communications-based technology.
WE CAN or WE CAN Foundation is a firm believer in the usage of technology to make the learning process easier. Clearing up a confusion a student has and solving a problem is as easy as taking a SELFIE PICTURE of that problem with a camera phone, then emailing or texting it to one of our available tutors. Long gone are the days in which a student has to physically meet with a tutor to get help. The help a student needs is now one SELFIE PICTURE way, which save time, gas, and frustration!!
Today's modern communication technologies allow our tutors to respond to student problems in two ways. Please visit our tutoing link for more information on the methods WE CAN uses to communicate with student over the internet.

HARD FACTS
The information below will show why WE CAN Services are really essential for our community!!
U.S. students’ academic achievement still lags that of their peers in many other countries
How do U.S. students compare with their peers around the world? Recently released data from international math and science assessments indicate that U.S. students continue to rank around the middle of the pack, and behind many other advanced industrial nations. One of the biggest cross-national tests is the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), which every three years measures reading ability, math and science literacy and other key skills among 15-year-olds in dozens of developed and developing countries. The most recent PISA results, from 2015, placed the U.S. an unimpressive 38th out of 71 countries in math and 24th in science. Among the 35 members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, which sponsors the PISA initiative, the U.S. ranked 30th in math and 19th in science.
