OVERVIEW
The Leimert Park AfroCentric Village, abbreviated as (LPAV), is a company formed by Rev. Baba Clarence Eziokwu Washington to promote businesses and events in the Leimert Park Village and inside the African Diaspora as a whole. Rev. Washington saw the need for a centralized location in which people can visit to see what AfroCentric events are occurring in the Leimert Park Village and within the Southern California African Diaspora. Additionally, Rev. Washington saw the need for a company that could provide AfroCentric Tours to visitors. These visions occurred to Rev. Washington over 30 years ago. Unfortunately, he did not have the resources back then to make theses dreams a reality. Now he does!!
FOSTERING AND EMBRACING PAN-AFRICANISM
The fostering and embracing of Pan-Africanism are vital if the black race is to survive inside Africa and the African Diaspora. The Leimert Park AfroCentric Village, abbreviated as LPAV, firmly believes in doing its part to ensure the survival of Africans and the people of African ancestry all over the world. As such, the company helps organize and execute various Pan-African cultural events in the Leimert Park Village. One such event is the annual Belizean Caye Festival, which is a celebration and exposure of the Belizean-American and African-American culture to the entire world. Below is a slide show of the 2019 Belizean Caye Festival in the Leimert Park Village.
